WELCOME to Parent Cafes!A parent caf谷 is a place where parents and caregivers of young children and teens can gather to share their stories, experiences, concerns, and insights.
A sense of community is built as parents engage in meaningful conversations and learn that they are not alone in the challenges they face managing their families and homes.
Be Strong Families Parent Caf谷s Card decks are designed to encourage rich conversations, while promoting 5 protective factors 每 Concrete Support in times of need, Social Connections, Parental Resilience, Social and Emotional children, Knowledge of Child Development. Protective Factors are evidenced to decrease Risk Factors such as, parental anxiety, low self-esteem, parent-child conflict, insecure attachment, depression, substance use, and more. Families become stronger as this community focuses on self-care, sharing resources, and developing strong relationships with children.

Benefits to participating:
- Being more resilient as parents/Forging positive social relationships/Learning to create concrete support networks
- Increasing their knowledge of parenting and child development/Improving their communication skills
- Free childcare and meals during the group/ Gift Card after completing evaluation at 6 sessions
The cohort runs up to 12 sessions and is peer led; you can determine if you would like to keep attending, host your own cafe, or help with the current one. Each session runs once a month for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Childcare is offered.
