Litha, also known as the summer solstice occurs on the 21st of June each year. 

During Litha the sun will arrive at its highest point so we celebrate the growing of crops, and take heart in knowing that the seeds we planted in the spring are now in full bloom. It’s a period to appreciate the sun and its divine power. 

Litha is a fabulous time to set an intention, to create and act according to you heart’s desire. Creating an altar can help ground and inspire new growth and development. 

Please bring a collection of special items that resonate with you as you imagine igniting your inner fire and step towards what lights you up. Ideas include these symbols of Litha:

– Feathers, leaves, tea lights, stones, shells, small twigs

– Fresh flowers: roses, straw flowers, marigolds

-Citronella, citronella brings protection, cleanses and clears negative energies. It can also strengthen ones life force.

-Carneliean, Sunstone, Citrine, Orange Calcite and Clear Quartz are all  linked to the Sacral and Root Chakra (orange and red). Which is associated with creativity and inventive ideas. 

– Items that symbolize your dreams, stepping into your purpose, owning your creative voice and vision. A handwritten affirmation, inspiring quote, or photo work great for this.

You will need to bring a container such as a special dish or tray or small box to transport your altar. It should live out in your garden or a sunny window where it can be fully charged by the sun. 

We will have extra components to add to your altar.

We will be constructing altars from 6pm – 8pm then have community time around the fire afterwards!
