FREE GATHERING – Fall Movie & Supper Club – Connecting in Community and Having Fun!
September 25 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

September Movie and Supper Club: Lady Bird – Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut, starring Saoirse Ronan
“Hey Barbie, what are you doing on Mondays for the next three months?”
“Hi Ken! I’m going to the Women Hold the Key Movie and Supper Club!”
“Key? Is it locked?”
“No, it’s open to any woman who wants to have good food and watch a great film!”
“Gee, Barbies have all the fun…”
Who doesn’t like to hang out with a bunch of women, watch a move, have a great meal and lively discussion together? Join a group of women on a Monday in September, October and November, from 5:30-8:30 this Fall for Movie and Supper Club. We’ll meet at Synergy, have a meal and watch a movie on our big screen there instead of going to the movie theater. This allows us to have an earlier evening that fits better into our busy lives – all before 8:30pm – could it be any better?!!
Sept. 25: Lady Bird: Greta Gerwig’s directorial debut
“A teenager (Saoirse Ronan) navigates a loving but turbulent relationship with her strong-willed mother (Laurie Metcalf) over the course of an eventful and poignant senior year of high school.”
Each of us will bring some food to share – so together we create a meal…a lovely way to connect. Women Hold the Key will provide the popcorn for the movie (and all of the things we need to eat with – plates, utensils, napkins & cups)!
Your facilitator: Margie Butcher
Margie spends most of her weekdays as a third grade teach at Vashon’s Chataqua Elementary School. Her enthusiasm for children and community moves her to create amazing programs that foster connection between generations – see the program she created in the 2022-2023 school year HERE.
In addition to her school work, we are very lucky that Margie is also a board member, committee head and our board Secretary at Women Hold the Key.
We feel really fortunate that Margie created both our original Movie Club offering in January of 2023, and that she has created this next iteration that combines many of the things she loves (she’s pretty famous for community gatherings and has her own private food club that’s over 15 years old) food, movies and community!
This is a FALL SERIES of 3 classes in our Key Community programming. These classes are FREE to attend. This particular series is open to anyone who would like to join – you may come to one or all of the movie nights – it is not necessary to come to them all!
Registration is required in order to accommodate all attendees!
