Empty Nesters – finding ourselves again with Jill Dziko
February 27 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
Who are we once our children have “flown the coop”?
This conversational style class will help women begin to rediscover who they are and what they want as empty nesters.
We will discuss goal setting, barriers to achieving those goals, and what are the tapes we play in our heads that keep us from realizing our power.
My most important role is that of mom to four young adults, three of whom were adopted at birth. They are truly my joy and I feel lucky everyday that they call me, “Mom”.
I have been a licensed social worker since 1997 and have spent most of my career working with children and families. I have a passion for working with children and families and understand the vulnerability of families who are placing their children for adoption as well as those who are hoping to adopt. As a homestudy provider, I am committed to ensuring children are placed with loving and well prepared adoptive families.
Prior to working in the adoption field I worked in community mental health as a therapist for dually diagnosed adults and as a school based therapist. In 1996, I co-founded a non-profit, Technology Access Foundation, which partners with school districts, educators, and organizations to challenge the current public education system with a focus on children of color
